Welcome to the Kim Lab @ UArizona!
The core of our research interest lies at the intersection of experimental condensed matter physics and device physics. We design, manipulate, and probe low-dimensional quantum materials and heterostructures to uncover fundamental light-matter interactions as well as discover new quantum phenomena and emergent exotic states of matter in condensed matter systems. Our experimental approaches include a combination of state-of-the-art device fabrication and characterization approaches—ranging from robotic nano-manufacturing and assembly to reconfigurable device architectures to multi-modal, broadband nano-optical imaging and transport measurements. We also put a strong emphasis in translating fundamental phenomena discovered in our research into novel functionalities for a new generation of electronic, photonic and quantum technologies.
We are hiring at all levels. Please send us an email with your CV if interested in joining the team's quantum endeavors.
